Really just a chip (and a good launch) can puta 1.8t inthe high 13 range. Maybe not if you're tiptronic though... Use high octane fuel. An exhaust would help you out. A k04 turbo would definitely help you out.

The temp during the day also makes a diff - a really hot day will slow you down

u can check out these sites www.goapr.com and www.pes-tuning.com . with a chip i think you should be able to get into the 14. with eather of these systems you might even break into the high 12s
fwd or quattro?

5 spd or auto?

1.8T or 2.8?

just keep in mind that A4 is not a drag strip car

but it would take some serious modding to get it ot that, also dont forget to invest into mods that will keep ur engine together while running that kind of power

It takes very little to hit a high 13 sec time - not much serious modding. A $400 chip would do it for a 1.8t... seriously. But its always wise to be careful. if you plan to track that caroften, gofor an FMIC and an exhaust system. Dont forget an upgraded BPV that will handle repeatedPSI boost release...

And I agree with Firestarter - an A4 is definitely not a drag car. If you are buying a car simply to race, do not buy an A4. A quattro 1.8t A4is a slow POS... heh heh

if you want to mod your engine go with a 1.8t. supercharger for a 98 and up 2.8 thats would get u there... but thats all u can do to it. 96-97 2.8 12v engine has no mods except for a internals this isan expensive system. with a 1.8t enginethe mods are endless
yep - 1.8t's rock when it comes to mods - you can simply keep upgrading... If you want to mod go with a 1.8t. If you want a smootherride with a touch more classand don't plan to mod it, buy a 2.8.
