I agree with that! Wolf, whoever that is, is being extra careful, and thats his right to do so. But I personally know guys who have had an APR chip (and other with a GIAC chip) for over 50K miles with no problems. GIAC and APR do not hire idiots - they hire engineers who know what a 1.8t engine can withstand. A lot of R&D goes into their work and thet do not put out products that destroy engines.</P>
Of course - anything that is not stock is probably not going to last as long as stock... so buy accordingly.</P>
