first of all congrats on buying a fine car...

1. Its not easy to fit power seats into an A4 that has manual ones. I had a couple friends look into it and they gave up. bracketing is completely different from what I'm told.

2. I have my car chipped. I can tell you it puts the zoom in the car. Lots of different kinds on the market. GIAC(www.awe-tuning.com), APR (www.goapr.com)and, Wetteraurer (www.chip-tuning.com) are the most common. They are all good with subtle differences. Neuspeed also makes one that is slightly less powerful, but many people like it.

3.I changed mine at 85K, the manual says 90K, but Id suggest you do it when you hit 65K. If that thing breaks your engine is toast. Make sure to change the belt, updated tensioner, and water pump at the same time.

When you buy the chip, you send your ECU to the manufacturer and they solder it in place. Some chips can be socketed, some have multiple programs like Stock, 91 octane, and 100 octane, that can be switched at the press of a button to meet your wants at a particular time.
