wow that doesnt make sense to me why you would have to have the radio uninstalled... If it was a problem with the radio you should have noticed it like 10 months ago. Get a VAGCOM if you can and see what it is

 

Yesh I agree with Redgoat. Get your car VAGGED. If you live in the states go to AUTOZONE for now just to see if any codes come up. Post the codes here and I am sure one of the moderators will be glad to help you out.

 

Doers not matter if the aftermarket radio was professionlly installed they will srill through out codes the guy who installed this should have known if he was any good I had this problem with my 2000 Jetta but I was told before I installed it thta I might have problems

 

Also the dealer can not scan with a aftermarket radio installed it could make the scanner faulty

 

... so have you tried getting a vag-com to scan it yet. The best thing to do is go to an autozone and get that scaned. If you bring the error codes, I am sure there are a lot of ppl who will love to help you out with all they know.
