I rarely drive in 5th gear when in the city - though if I put the car in "D" mode it most certainly will do that. But I use Tip mode "all the time", unless I have my cell phonme or a coffee in my hand.

Driving in 5th at that speed is not hard on the car. Nor is driving in 4th. However - if you think about it, 4th gear means more revs and more engine work.

Just the same - I use 4th. Keep in mind I have a 1.8t and my car has higher revs than yours on avg.<edited><editID>brrman</editID><editDate>37900.4999189815</editDate></edited>
