hah - Reading your topic header I thought you meant 19" radius, as in 38" diameter wheels...
What exactly are they rubbing on? The fender liner, or a control arm? If you hit something extremely hard you may damage something.
Personally I would not drive a car if anything rubbed where it was not supposed to. But to each his own. What kind of suspension you riding? stock sport?<edited><editID>brrman</editID><editDate>37921.6218981482</editDate></edited>

you could try wheel spacers untill your tires wear out then id go with a smaller tire. the A8 has more wheel clearance than the A4 so id definitly go with a lower profile tire in the future. Wheel spacers will help with the excess with of the tires ie... keep your suspension from eating them. but you still have rub issues if you have too high of a profile tire.
