sounds like a bad ground to me when a wire or (filament in this case) is pourly grounded it get excesively hot because the same current has to flow through a more narrow bandwith (I believe it has to do with the friction of the electron molecules in the constricted conductor) yeah so anyways it causes you lights get hotter than there supossed to. or maybe its just a coincidence. </P>
By the way did you install the lights yourself? if you did; did you make sure you didnt touch the glass at all. oil from you fingers will cause the bulb to get hotter than its supposed to and prematurely burn out the bulb</P>
If you cant get it fixed I think you can get headlight bulbs in 24 packs<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0"></P>
Slim - you are Master of the Universe!!!! I am envious, even though I am now a superhero!
AudiBorderChic - are you buying cheap bulbs? They wont last long if you do. Have you done any electrical work on your car ever? Could have surges as a result fo something. Also do they ever burn out after it rains? Maybe you have aleak in your housing or a short in your headlight wiring...<edited><editID>brrman</editID><editDate>37957.3820717593</editDate></edited>
