First post guys. just picked up a 2001 A4 1.8T.(Tiptronic) i am very new to Audi's as i have owned only Trans-am's. i recently totalled my '00 WS6 but the Audi is a complete upgrade for me. i love the car. i had a few questions and i have done a little searching, but alot of the results dont make sense to me.
-what are some beginning mods i can do for cheap?
-I also have the xenon/HID lights stock(i diddnt know this was an option on the 1.8?)
car has 50k on it. i picked it up for 13,000

any was i can increase boost cheaply and safely?

best way to raise the boost is to chip it

 

chip. Search Giac or Apr and you'll find endless posts.

 

yea go with GIAC you wont be dissapointed like the guys that go with apr

 

HID low beams was an option in 2001.

thanks guys, i appreciate the info. yeah when i saw my car, i knew i had to have it for the price. on a side note, does anybody know how i operate my headlight washers?

 

On my '02 the headlight washers operate when you use the windshield washer with the headlights on. I assume it's the same on the '01.
