02 Audi A4 1.8t
SUP everybody, new and happpy and proud owner of a 02 a4t here. my last car was a 2000 nissan maxima. i thought i loved my last car but i didnt even know what love was untill i drove my a4 for the first time. anyways im excited to start work on my car but i wanted to find some more info before i did anything. so here it is:
1 my car currently has the warranty for another 6 months and i was thinking about extending the warranty. anyone have the extended warranty? and is it paying off?
2 what is an ecu? prices? looking to spend about $200-300. anyone has one? and how much improvement did you see?

Hi welcome to the forum. Extened warranties are only as good as the company that backs them, what they cover and the size of the deductable.
Many companies make aftermarket chips that plug into the existing ECU. They generally cost from 300 to 600 dolars depending on make and model. On the 1.8t these chips add approximately 35-40 HP and a ton of torgue. it totally transforms the car. I would suggest saving a bit longer and checking out the chips from APR or GIAC. You can find their links at the top of the forum
