[X(] New member here, but not a new audi owner, owned a 96 a4 2.8 for 5 years. At 150k, its seen better days. Bought a used 04 a4 3.0, black on black, real sharp. But, its got a few bugs. First off, its at 71k. Do I do the timing belt now? Or is it allright to wait til 80 or 90, or even 100. (I was religious with my first a4 at 70 then 130k.) Also, does anyone know exactly what I should get in a kit? Timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, tensioners, tensioner pulleys.... any thing else? Lastly, does anyone NOT recommend going non dealer in kits, ie a third party like an ebay seller? While not listed, I called one that lists the 96-01 kits and they said they could whip an 04 kit together for 220, w/o water pump. Thanks.
