I really would prefer to go with smaller payments and the 05, but i there a substantial difference in the engines? How about gas mileage between the 2? And do both have FSI or just the 06?

I have done a little research and my buddy has a 1.8 and says there is not much difference at all.

welll the B6 2002-2005 are 5 valve technonlgy
the B7 2005.5+ are FSI but only 4 valve per cyl
they say the 2.0 has more potential casue with a regualr chip it puts up numbers of a K04 upgraded turbo
but its basicly the same chassis still with minor uprgradess

 

The 2.0T is much better. With just a chip and exhaust, those engines are making great numbers.

 

all i kno is a gas saver...surprisingly
i put 380miles on 1 tank of gas (16 gallon)

 

By my calculation that is 23.75 MPG. On my last tank which was mostly city driving I got 25.76 MPG..

 

yea the 2.0's are cool motors lots of potential

 

well..maybe it was a bad comparsion.
comparing to my sis's 05 G35, my car is a gas saver...
and my old honda prelude gives me 280miles/15.9 gallon. it was a 98 w/70k miles.

 

The 2.0T engine is much much better. It has the power the 1.8t should have had and room for growth in the future (chip tuning).
