I have a 2005 Audi A4 Cabrio and it comes with the Home Link System right and i never had a problem with my other cars I have had 5 audis in the past that had same systems and always linked into my home garage and my mercedes and jaguar run on same system and work

I just bought this car yesterday and i do not feel like driving 59 miles back to the dealer when i read the manual i do what it says Hold the Button till it starts blinking slowly get my original garagae opener and point at right side of bumper 30 cm away distance and than the lights flash on it and when i get back into the car i press the button and get nothing i tryed with all the buttons on the visor and nothing

If needed i have a Legacy Overhead door system

and i have a 2007 Mercedes CL65 AMG and it has same system installed and it works fine also a 2004 Jaguar XJ and it also works fine

so does anyone know what is the problem with it if so please help i would appreciate it

When I first read the topic I thought I knew what your problem was; some garage openers change the combination each time as a security feature and cannot be programmed b/c of the constantly changing signal. Anyone agree?

 

last time i reset a garage door to a system, i had to reset the opener door itself

 

It sounds like you know what your doing so i would say the antenna for the home link is messed up or something, that or the visor itself isn't working correctly. Explain to the tech that you have other cars that work with the same garage door opener and he will be more likely to runcompletediagnostics for you.
The only problem is he can't test his repair, which sucks on our part. He will more than likely replace the visor, hopefully that will fix your problem.
