Question 06 A4 No response after 2000-2500 RPM's.

(Posted this in gen tech but then saw this and figured I should post it here instead.)

Just bout a 2006 A4 2.0 tonight. Everything was fine on my test drive but tonight after driving it a bit I discovered an issue.

I'll be taking it to a shop first thing in the morning to check out then possibly back to the dealer right after if it is a serious issue. My impatience lead me here to see if maybe any of you have experienced this.

The issue: Randomly it seems (or it "may" be when I hit too high of an RPM it happens) that I get no response after 2000-2500 RPM. The car will rev up as far as I will let it but it will not go.

If I sit at 2k RPM's for awhile and let the car downshift; then I will be able to get normal response again.

This happens while in D but I can make it happen real fast in S and even faster in manual mode.

Does this sound like a familiar issue?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

I got the error code off it this morning p0303 and some other one that I lost on my phone :\ but it was something about the fuel line. I am guessing they put in 87 grade gas into it.

Looking up the p0303 looks like it is misfiring.

I took it back to the place I bought it and they said no worries blah blah blah its under warranty and they had me leave the car there for the day. While I got a fiat as a rental... lol :\
