Default 06 Audi A4 or BMW 330i ?

I am about to order my 330i, and wanted to hit a few forums 1st to make sure I am making the right choice. I keep hearing that Audi's have many electronic problems. Yeah BMW's have their fair share of problems too, but lately it seems Audi is getting a really bad name.

So tell me why to buy the A4, instead of the new E90 330. It seems the price is about the same, and the options are very similar. What do all of you A4 owners think. There are many X-Audi owners on the BMW forums, saying stay away from audi.

Waz Up?

I really don't know what the deal is about that horrible representation of Audi's. Audi's havn't had electrical problems since the 80's and early 90's. There are lots of ex BMW owners here on these boards too. Honestly I'd test drive them both and go from there. I'm sure they are both excellent cars to drive.

Now ya know when Audi owners are saying go with BMW that is a bad sign for AUDI. I have been leaning towards the new 3 series since it came out.

I've driven both, and they are both awesome cars, but I would much rather have the 2.0T A4 with a chip.

Oh, and BTW, I'm on my second A4, and have never had an electrical problem. Not even on my 2000, which had over 100k miles on it.

Ive had two audis in the last year and i own an x5 i like bmw just because little things dont break all the time on them like audi's do it could be the smallest thing on an audi and cost 300 bucks. I just like the bmw quality over audi not to say audi is total **** but there a hassel most of the time.

What does it matter about reliability... you're buying a brand new car. Most people who buy new cars never own them out of warranty anyways... and Audi's warranty is awesome. A chipped 2.0T would be loads more fun than a 330.

And yeah, audi's reliability is not bad... the electrical problem reputation is from the late 80's early 90's... it's still hurting audi! haha

That's because both of your Audi's are old. He's buying a brand new car. Like shok said, there's nothing to worry about. You'll have a great warranty.
