Default 07 A4 CVT Computer failure?

Anyone have this problem. I have a 2007 A4 CVT with 1050 miles on it and today the Tranny Computer Died!

The dealership is telling me the part is on order but they order it by VIN and it could come in tomorrow or in 3 weeks. They dont know for sure. Does this sound right?

The major problem I have with this is that we are going on vacation Saturday the 26th and I bought this car specifically to take on trips. Now they have given us a loaner but its black leather interior in the LAS VEGAS desert without tinted windows. (ours is tan leather with tinted windows.) What can I do? Any suggestions. and taking my truck on vacation is a NO.

Any ideas people?

Ask for a different loaner? It's a horribly crappy situation... what with your car being so damned new. But at least you have another Audi as a loaner... life could be worse.
At least you get to rack up miles on the loaner when you take it on the trip!

The Probem with that is that their insurance doesnt cover out of state travel!!![:@]

He said he would talk to his GM about letting us take it outta state but if the insurance doesnt cover it then how can he change that. Plus I'm not driving to SOCAL without GREAT insurance.

Your car insurance should cover you. Check with your carrier. Put 10,000 miles on the loaner.

Now if the insurance would just pay to have the Loaner's windows tinted and scrape the words "DESERT AUDI COURTESY VEHICLE" off the back window, I might consider it.

WOW that sucks, but hell it oculd be worse, watch out for the Lemon go back to the dealership and say pay off this car and i want another one, 1000 miles on a tranney computer is f**in garbage i would be dammed you may run into more s**t down the road. see what they do, worse case is that you put on all the miles on the loaner Audi and screw them as much as possible

AHH BIG DIFFERENCE, then doent matter take the loaner and beat on it as long as its got what u need then let the lease sit there and be fixed.

It would be better if the car wasn't Black Leather... Thats a bit hot in LAS VEGAS. My wife already burned her leg on the seat.
