1/4 Mile sucks, APR chip dead??
Ok guys, got the boost guage. Im boosting 19 psi tops.....but its not very consistent. I also put the green spring back in my forge 007 DV, as opposed to the yellow which seemed to be worse. It still doesnt seem to be the car it was when i was first chipped though. Theres almost like a turbo lag when i punch the gas... The boost might spike to 19 psi eventually but id say with a pedal to the medal acceleration it never goes above 12.
okay, here goes the normal K03 layout of boost:
900(idle)-2500 rpm, very low boost (like5-9 tops)
3k-4.5k 15-16ish hold with a spike to about 18-19. **(this means that if you step on it, it will jump to 18-19 psi and hold at 15 ish)
4.5k+ it holds at around 10 psi with relaitvley no spike.
vacume is abour normal. i get about -22 but im almsot at sea level. -28 in of hg OR -14.7 PSI is the highest physically possible. at sea level, cars will get MABY -25 max.
SO with this turbo, your 12 psi, if between 3 and 4.5k rpm, you defaitly have a boost leak. if between 4.5 adn 6k rpm, you are great.
with that boost between 3-3.4k, you have a major boost leak which is msot likley on the "L" shaped vaccume tume that is if looking at the engine compartment form the front of the car, is around the top right side of the intake manifold.
that is a common defect with our cars. get it fixed and your boost will be happy as me.
^^^ im drunk. dont hold it against me

Thanks for the info...i actually see those pressures roughly. After further investigation I have decided something else is wrong. The throttle response is very slow...i stomp on it at 4000 rpm's and get nothing for like 2 seconds...then slow acceleration (slower then usual). Also at around 4000 RPM i start to get an engine stutter...almost like a vibration u get when wheels arent balanced right. Also i get a skip sometimes when i punch the gas. Whatever caused my 1/4 to suck is getting worse. Im gonna try to get it in the shop this week. Who knows what the problem is.
Also incase anyone asks.....boost appears good, gettin the stuff audicross was talkin about....just not very quickly. And i had ignition coils all done about a year ago so thats not the problem. Could a dirty MAF be doin this?
Someone suggested fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.......they did just mail me a saftey recall on the fuel pump.......hmmm maybe i should take them up on that offer (free fuel pump replacement at the stealership)
