1.8t or 2.5?
im sure this question has been asked before but i cant seem to find any threads anywhere on it! So im looking to buy an audi here at the end of the month when i get my taxes back and i dont know what to get in the a4 the 1.8t or the 2.5 it will be the first audi i have owned and dont know a whole lot about them.. i know the 1.8 has more modding potential or so i hear but the v6 provides better factory performance.. Its basicly just going to be a daily driver but i would like to be able to drop some money into it for fun too.. exhaust chip maby some bolt-ons not sure just need some expierienced opinions. Thanks for reading!

you mean 2.8 right?
...I was in ur situation about 2yrs ago. but being that I was a broke *** college student I went w/ the more reliable 2.8 (and to a certain extent it was probably the smart choice) but of course now that I've gotten around to the mods I wish I would've bought the 1.8t.
you know what they say-the grass is always greener on the other side

yeah the 2.8 -.- oops lol was looking at subys and had 2.5 stuck in my head lol.. but yeah so the v6 is more reliable? do they both have timing belts or does the v6 have a timing chain? (that would be nice) but yeah i also heard that the turbo on the 1.8 is tiny lol.. i dont know i was leaning toward the 2.8 but just thought i would ask hey thanks!
yeah they're both timing belts...they're both great engines, just that the 1.8 needs a lil more "attention" than the 2.8, but it [V6] has a very limited amount of mods. the 1.8 on the other hand has alot more to offer (even w/ a tiny snail lol) its fun to drive (specially chipped
) and gets way better gas mileage (at least as long as you're not boosting like theres no tomorrow haha)
