Hey guys, I browse here ever so often, had an account for a while, But I have yet to own a real audi, I use to own an older FWD 89 audi 100...but we donated that for a tax deduction.And I had a few questions for you smart people.
If anybody knows, I'd like to know thedifferences in a 2.8a4 and a 1.8ta4.
I know the 2.8 puts out a good ammount of more power, even the 12valve 2.8puts out 20 or so more horses than the 1.8t5v


What im HOPING to be getting is 1999 ora 2000 2.8 a4 quattro.
but I wanna know if the 1.8t would be a consideration.

What I've seen from observation, is that when i see a 1.8t with an exhaust system and a few mods, it sounds like its got a huge fartcan on it.
And ive seen a few modified 2.8's and they sounded reaaaally nice.

but Im no expert.

Stock for stock the v6 is better.


Once you start modding, the 1.8t is the only choice.

 

99 or 00 V6 is a 30v , go for v6 if you don't plan on moding
