actually i was referring to your 9000+ post since 12/14/2006

how about this. lets stop wasting space in this thread and others. is there a place on these forums where we can argue? i thought i heard someone mention it but i cant find it. anyway if there is ill start a new thread called "effects on mileage of a modded 1.8t" then we can argue all day and i can get yuo to understand that youre wrong. sound good? now if someone could just point me in the direction of that subcategory.

actually there's a eFight thread in off-topic https://www.audiforums.com/m_677855/tm.htm

and big turbo setups have ZERO negative effect on highway gas mileage since while crusing you are not in boost. they usually have better highway mpg since audi sends cars out the factory running slightly rich, while tuning companies usually run there programs a bit leaner. under acceleration is a whole different story...didn't we have this arguement before?

nice charts btw, cincy. its nice to see everything compared

seriously you should be getting over 25mpg highway unless you are doing over 90 mph the whole time and boosting. i just did a trip from jupiter to orlando back to melbourne, all in florida, trip was 224.3 miles i just put the apr93 chip on my car, but i have an 3" exhaust and a custom intake, and when my roommate filled my car up when we got to melbourne cause i had to pick his *** up from the airport, it clicked off at 7.46 gallons, which equates to 30.06 mpg. i still got the receit to prove it.and by no means do i drive slow that was over 80 the whole way and since he hadnt seen the car pull with the new chip in it i had to show it off.

just to add something here guys. 4.6L and 5.0L Mustangs stock blocks are only designed and been known to handle only up to 500hp. Anything more than that and you run a major risk of blowing the motor. I dont think stock Audi blocks should be pushed anything close to that. (Or at least constantly beat on with that amount of power) Not to mention that were talking about forced induction here, witch adds to the pressure on the block and internals.

with stronger rods only, the 1.8t can do 700+whp.

but remeber, our argument was that you could have 400+hp and still achieve 30mpg on the highway. i specifically stated 400hp, not 300 not 250, 400:

" You are really going to sit there and tell me you’re gunna get the same or even similar gas mileage to a factory 1.8t just cause you are cruising on the highway? Please show me someone with over 400 hp who is still get 30mpg on a consistent basis or even close to that. "

btw i went ahead and made that post in the off topic section. feel free to flame.
