For the 1.8T most are saying around 800 to 1000.

well i have a 1998 2.8 avant
i got a fulling timing belt job done, tensioners, waterpump, cam seals, ext ext. (bought the ultimate plus kit from ecstuning.com)
also got a wheel bearing put on, oil pan gasket installed, strut worked on fixed, and new alternator payed for and put on for
1300 plus 450 for the timing belt kit. just to give you an idea..
i would expect like 800 - 1200
i would order the kit from ecstuning the ultimate one. with all the gaskets and everything else

It was 400 in labor for me plus the cost of the kit.

You want the one that says "ECS Ultimate Plus1.8T Timing Belt Kit- AEB & ATW Engine Codes Only "
You have engine code AEB.
