Default 1.8T oRRR 2.8

Hey guys lets just say you got a 1.8T with Chip, exhaust, intake and you got a 2.8 with chip, exhaust, intake and you race them both 5speed with equal driver skill which would win? and which one would be more reliable and cheaper to maintain with those mods.

Thanks

with those mods, the 1.8T would be faster, but not by much. the 2.8 would be much more reliable though and maintenance costs would be the same (except for turbo stuff, which the 2.8 wouldn't need)

At that point the 2.8 would be more reliable in the long run, there are negatives about both engines, but if you plan on keeping it for the long haul, the 1.8 w/ turbo will suck up more money.

There are a lot more parts to mod a 1.8 engine, thats why i bought a 2.8. I knew that once i started, i would not stop. I think the prices for the mos listed would be very close. As far as insurance, if you had a car the same year w/ same miles, it would be real close in price.
