Default 1.8T Quattro... What hp?

Hi,
Just registered . I'm moving from UK to the US in the next month or so, and have my sisters A4 lined up for me to buy, but she hasn't the foggiest idea which engine it has. Its a 1999 1.8T quattro, and I'd like to know the hp so i can start planning all the bits and bobs I'm going to do with it. Can anyone help. Not many website are that helpful as I've seen figures quoted 150hp, to 190 hp! I'm used to pretty damn quick cars, and would hate to think I can't do a great deal with the audi! Plus, what would you reccommend I do to it to speed it up a little?
Cheers
Toff

PS... Used to own a redeye TDI A3, and those Vag deisels have some pull in them. had the engine management messed with and that little monster kept the traction control busy up to 4th gear! great fun!!

Cheers... Any reccomendations where to start, or just the usual suspension, chip, and induction route to start?

If the car has more than 60 K mi. , save about $700 for the timing belt job.

I've not long got rid of (blew it up [:@]) my MR2 Turbo. Jap spec, running approx 300 bhp! That little ****** was quick! took 5 seconds to 60 mph, and topped out at 165. Loved that car. Its a shame the US versions only have 200 from the factory! Getting a tad older nopw, so just want it fast enough to have fun with, and have the suspension a bit more european style. Loved the A3, so was more than happy to take the A4 off my sis. Can't wait to have a play with it in the snow come winter
