I heard that when you chip the 1.8t, the stock blow off valve is pretty much useless. Should i replace the blow off valve. If i should, which one is good? Also when the a/c is on and the turbo kicks in i hear some sort of a rattling noise, only when the turbo is on... Can someone help me out?

 

i think you need the bypass valve from the Audi TT

 

ugh god damn it. its a DIVERTER VALVE, the 710N is good! 35$, its not expensive.

not a BLOW OFF VALVE.

 

Is it easy to replace the dv? Where do you suggest i get it from? I bought a greddy style blow off valve off of ebay. Should i replace the blow off valve anyway or should i not bother. Also it is a different style than the original. It has a place to bolt it on to something. Hopefully you can help me.

 

do the DVs exploit any sound? cause the sound of a BOV is so hot

 

well that bov you got probably wont work. you need to get a forge dv or a stratmosphere or something along those lines also the 710n is good. and they make some noise but you cant really hear it. its nothing as loud as a bov

 

what the hell is the difference between diverter valve and blow off valve... pretty much the same **** isn't it... answer that guys question on top I have a K&N intake and i can hear a swish sound out of my intake and its kinda loud....

 

they are the same. they both vent air. most people on here will say that a bov will vta (vent to atmosphere) and the dv will vent back into the intake. but as you can see from my sig i have a bov, yes it says bov but it is set up to vent back into the intake system.

 

Where can i get this dv from? I've looked and i can't find anything but an oe replacement
