Yeah AW is a treasure trove, except everything is burried within the archive. Plus, parts are cheaper for the 12v I think.

30v is better because we have nicer engine covers, and same goes to the 2.7t over the 2.8, it's not the power, or the 2 turbos that make it better, it's the bad *** engine covers that cover the engine, but expose the sexy intake tubes haha. Ok, it is the power and turbos. I've never driven a 12v, but I hear that the fewer valves there are, the more boost friendly they are. Not sure if I was listening to a crock of crap, but it's what I've heard

hmmm that dosent make sense sine the only thing that does is make it harder for the engine to breathe. Probably the only reason its more 'boost friendly' is because it has less power in the first place so theres more room to expand on the stock internals.

Put it this way im really going to miss my relaible and easy to work on 12v (knock on wood) when i trade it for a 1.8t i can build for more power.

The 1.8t is reliable and is pretty easy to work on. Timing belts, thermostats, spark plugs, exhaust,everything is much easier to do on a 1.8t compared to the 2.8.
