I did a search and couldn't find much info.

What mods to a 1.8t would it take to get into the mid-upper 13's on the quarter? I know what supporting mods are required, basically I need to know what size turbo.

What do you guys think of the garret turbo that comes with the kit? Good driveability?

The eliminator kit is the way I would go.

 

I don't have an audi yet (I'm actively looking though), I'm just kinda doing preliminary research to see which audi I want and what my plans/goals will be.

For the most part, 2001.5 A4's are going for about $10k around here. S4's of the same mileage/year are going for about $15.

What I'm trying to figure out is which platform would be the cheapest/easiest in the end.

Here are some of the questions I'm asking myself right now (I'm going to go searching through the forum to find the answers):

•How much money would it take the S4 to reach the same performance as an A4/2871r?

•Is the S4 suspension lower than the A4 (basically would I be saving money by not having to lower it)?

•How important is it to me to have a 6th gear (I love 6 speeds, I had one before and now I cant go back to 5)?

•What would the insurance difference be (yikes)?
