14's in the 1/4: What do I need?
Hi,
I'm thinking about possibly getting either a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T or a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. This is going to be a daily driver but eventually I would like to try to make it a quick little car, I'm shooting for at least 14's in the 1/4. For the Quattro and the normal 1.8T, what do you think would be necessary to get these times?
Secondly, I was raised in a family where my parents thought that imports were the greatest thing ever and that no other company could rival their reliability. How would you guys say Audi's rank in reliability compared to Honda and Toyota?
Thank you!

honda is probably going to last longer, but if you maintan an audi, it will run just fine. Plus, its an audi dude.....no comparison as far as im conserned, but you have to remember this is a audi website too.
A bigger turbo and a chip should get you into the 14's. As far as reliablity, the germans are nowhere near as reliabe as the japs. Or even the americans for that matter. Alot of that comes with options thou. The more things available on the car the more things that can break.
