Default 1997 A4 Quattro 2.8 L V6 clutch last for how long?

My Audi has 155,000 miles on it. Bought it at 75,000 miles. Never replaced the clutch myself, and don't nkow if previous owner had replaced it. When driving up hill, it's not a smooth lack of power and slippage like in my old VW, but it's more jerky. Is that normal? Or is it another electrical/timing problem?

What's the average for a clutch?

Also, I am a good driver, and engage at low RPM's. thanks.
