Default 1997 A4 Quattro Rear suspension problem

Has anyone experienced a problem with the rear suspension sway bar mounts? I found a TSB number that I have to find out if this relates to my problem. When I bought the car back in 97, I had upgraded the sway bars with an aftermarket set of bars. I started hearing knocking noises and the rear felt funny a few weeks ago. Today, I jacked up the car and inspected the rear. The frame mount for the sway bar has totally cracked on one side and the other side is starting to crack. This piece is welded to the frame. This is a formed piece of metal that has a single bolt where the crack is starting on one side, and I assume the other side started there also.
Now what? I guess a body shop and an insurance claim is the only answer. I'm bummed. I wonder if a welding shop could weld a custom mount?
