Default 1997 audi A4 1.8 T transmission problem

I rebuilt the engine of my a4 ,now that I put it back the car barely move like if the transmission have no olil pressure; I'd check the oil level and is ok, vag com say there is a fault on the multifuncional switch' .
If you put the car on drive and push the gas the car just don't go,neither in reverse, and after put the shifter back in neutral all the lights PRD234 will come on the dashboard, I'm very frustrated especialy becouse I put near $ 3000 on this long block and now the car doesn't move; if someone have any idea ,please letme know. Thanks

Did you have the trans out? Maybe you just left something unplugged/unconnected. Was the torque converter fully seated? If not you may have damaged the trans pump during engine installation.

I'd pull out the engine unbolting the torque converter from the start hole, so the torque converter never was disengage from the transmission

Sometimes they can stick to the engine during removal and come out just a little bit. Did you have any trouble getting the trans and engine to meet up flush with eachother when you put the engine in?

Probably not the pump then. I would check to make sure the values for the trans gear in the transcontrol module match up with the actuall position of the shifter.

Are you getting and error between 17084 and 17106, or 17114 and 17174,
or 18141 and 18147, or 18152 and 18200.
