if you don't like the idea or the coupe M3, then why don't ya look into buying a 4-door sedan M3? But my Vote is for the A4. you can buy a newer one with less cash and for me the quattro is a must for the winter here in Chicago.

Get the Audi. The Audi community > Bimmer community! Oh, and Quattro is way better than rwd.

Same crap just another day... The 1.8t people don't expect much out of you... The m3 is nice but people expect the world... Plan on having **** reving there engines next to you at almost every light... I'd rather have the more aerodynamic audi and work on it a bit... A little money into it will have you pushing some good horse that the m3 can't touch without some major money... It's up to you

Exterior: Audi wins.

Interior: Have you ever sat in an E36? It pales in comparison to th eB5. Audi wins.

Speed: M3, but you can get there with the Audi too with a little elbow grease, and it will be that much more satisfying when you do.

Traction: RWD vs. AWD. no contest - Audi.

Usability: Audi wins - 4 doors and a bigger trunk.

Fun-factor: M3 hands down

Depends which of these categories is most important to you.

i would go with the M3. to be honest, i'm not so sure i really like my a4. all it does is break and cost a retarded amount of money to fix.but i'm sure that'll probably be the case with a bimmer too. don't mean to sound bitter, but i've had alot of bad experiences with my car and haven't even been ablt to mod it (which is what i originally intended to do) because i spend all my money on replacement parts

just my .02
i have a 98 2.8 standard btw

Lol, yeah, Id be said too if I had a non-modable 2.8. You'd enjoy your audi a lot more if you had bought one that responds to the mods. Next time do a little research first. The old bmw is gonna have sh*t that needs fixing too, as any car with higher miles is going to need repairs and maintenance of a fair amount.
Anyway, he's looking at a 1.8t, a lot moe fun than the one you have. I hope you at least have quattro.

what i mean is that i haven't even been able to put wheels/suspension/exhaust/basic stuff like that because i've spent all my money fixing the thing. one of the most frusterating cars i've ever owned.

All cars break down with age. Your car is nearly 10 years old. How many miles are on it? No offense.......plus have you been the one and only owner of your car?
