I would say it is a 99.5, it doesn't have the funny pass. mirror, has the clear side marker and has the newer taillights. However, I am a little confused becuase the badges on the back are in the 99' and older spots, all on the top of the trunk lid... strange...

yes it is a 99.5
normal mirrors
rectangle markers
one piece headlights
updated door handles
tailights with the reverse strip second to the bottom
single din console
but the badges are in the wrong position for whatever reason

i would say most likely yes
fog lights
clear rectangular side marker

no "nemo" mirror
those are all changes done in 99.5 but the trunk badges should be lowered. why they aren't: most likely got rear-ended and had to replace the trunk. the body shop guys probly bought a 99 trunk because they didn't know the car was a 99.5

if you look at this picture
you notice the 1.8 is really far over to the right. leaving barely any space for the T. ODD maybe the car was debadged and then rebadged? or what chaos said with the rear end collision possiblilty, but that wouldnt explain why their is no room left for the T

my 99.5 also has the non-retarded nemo mirror.
that car is definitely a 99.5, it has the updated climate controls and fog light/seat heater switches, as well as all the other differences people have already mentioned. I also would suspect it's had a rear end collision and the trunk lid was replaced with an early 99 lid. as for the lack of a "T" in the "1.8" badge, I've seen that before as well. maybe somebody didn't want anyone to know he had a turbo, so he removed the "T" part of the badge?
