Default 1999 A4 1.8T Turn Signal

Hi All!

First post!

My wife has a 1999 A4 and the turn signals are not working properly. The turn signals work intermittently. Sometimes they flash, sometimes they just stay lit. The hazards work fine. I did a search and it seems that other Audi owners replaced the hazard switch. That solution seems to work for 2001 and up models. Does anyone know if it is the same for the 99's? I did see some relays behind the fuses, does anyone know which relay is which?

Thanks for any info!

So you're saying that the hazards and the turn signals use the same relay like the newer models?

they do but it could be a bad ground or the indicator stalk is shorting out or need the contacts cleaning

Thanks for the input Dave. Any suggestions on what to do to diagnose the problem?
