Default 1st Audi! w/pic

So, Im new here...picked up my "new to me" 2002 A4 1.8 TQT just over a week ago. unfortunately its been in the shop the majority of last week and the beginning of this week. I was/stillam having an issue with it overheating. The dealer (used car not Audi) has been really good about it so far and has given me a loaner. my only gripe is that he didnt take it to an Audi delaership right away but thats where it was at this morning so i should be getting it back tomorrow! i love it so far even though it seemsquite abit slower then my old GTP but that was to be expected. im thinking i'll wait out the winter and chip it come spring.

Thanks for all the info on the site! for any other noobs who haven't used the "search" feature...figure it out, its great!

Yes the 1.8T is really slow, but you can chip it rather cheaply ~$500. Then it will be a proper driving car. I can't say much, my b6 isn't chipped, but my 1.8T Passat is and I can tell you, it makes all the difference..

Thanks for the replies guys...I think i got a pretty good deal. 74,000 miles $13,000 with a 2 year /unlimited miles warranty. plus he gave me a pretty decent trade in on my car.

i got the car back today and it seems to be fixed. I'm taking it back to the Audi dealer saturday just so they can give it a once over. i.e. timing belt and engine sludge etc.

Nice B6...gotta love Dolfin Grey. My dad's got a GTP, and although it's fast (I will admit that) I still can't stand driving it. Everything is so rattly and cheap looking. They may be quick, but they've got nothing on Audi's quality and class. I rather like havingmy electronic climate control.

Nice car. Chip it when you get the chance. I got the REVO test flash (that's what's recommended for the B6), and it made a world of difference. Too bad the test flash is only good for 5 hours of driving though.
