Default 2.5" vs 3" Test pipe?

I'm getting a test pipe and I don't know if I should go with a 3" or a 2.5" and if they are really gonna make that big of a dif? Now yes power is important to me but so is sound. I already have full borla and love how it sounds I don't want a high pitch pop pop pop! is there a big dif from these two pipes? would the 2.5" be better with sound? Thanks

i dont have a tesy pipe but every car i heard a sound clip of or seen a video of has the pop pop. The reason is because the cat muffles all of the pops which is why your borla sytem sound so nice.

I would go 3" becase the inside diamiter of your turbo exhaust outlet is 3" if you get a 2.5" test pipe there will be a 1/4" of the flange blocking exhaust flow. I am running the ATP test pipe its cheap and well built you can also get test pipes that are 3" on the turbo end and taper to 2.5" at the DP end.

Do a vidieo serch on youtube to listen to a car with a TP.

Ugh is there really no way to get rid of that Pop? that blows.. I hate the way that sounds. I don't know, I have a k04 w/chip and I'm getting water/alc injection and upping the boost.. I feel like I need a test pipe but don't want all that. and a High flow cat just doesn't seem worth the extra $150

can anyone give me an answer if the 2.5" test pipe is less likely to give me a loud pop pop sound? I'm def going towards the 2.5 at the moment.. It'll be better then the cat, but hopefully not as poppy as the 3" anyone???

unless you are going to get an eliminator then just go with the 2.5" TP. the ko4 dosn't need that much flow.. the ER TP is the best one for the money. and it will better match your 2.25" borla

besides teh ATP on is a b!tch to install because of it's large diameter..

The Labree HFC is only 250.00...but he is busy right now, and it would take about a month to get it made.
