has anyone here swapped a 96 2.8 for a 1.8t here? i'm just curious about cost and if there were any problems after the switch.

 

i think its pointless to swap, waste of time and money personally

 

if ur actually gonna swap y not put that sweet S4 motor in there . now theres a swap 4 ya

 

def more expensive than just buying a 1.8t.

 

deff more worth it if u already have chassie

 

just sell your car and buy the car with your desired engine

 

I was going to swap my '95 Audi 90's tranny from auto to manual and add Quattro. I was told me to keep it auto or buy what i wanted. Good advice looking back on it cause that car died in 2 years. I now have what I wanted from the get go.

 

Doing a swap is extremely easy if you follow the following steps.


1. Sell 2.8

2. Buy 1.8

 

if ur going to swap why not go with something really nice liek a Chevy Big Block 572? Now thats an engine!
