Default 2.8 30v 3500rpm power loss?

hey, ok so today, was raggin on my car a bit and noticed that around 3500 rpm, the car loses a lil power thru every gear. but then revs fine till redline.

sometimes the tends to die at 3500 rpm then pick back up. no missfire tho.

i did recently change plugs (bosch plat +2) and new wires.

is this normal , something a chip fixes or something wrong with the car?

its normal, its known as the "flat spot," a chip or an exhuast and chip will get ridd of it. I wrote a review of the 2.8 30V chip, search for it. I eblive its 2.8 30V chip review.

lol, yea i read a few reviews on this flat spot prob. i think it's something to do with late engagement of the variable valve system?

acura RSX type s's have this prob at 6k and the chip fixes it too, thiers it's late engagement of vtec.

whats the best chip for the 2.8 30v's BTW?

giac seems to be the most popular

I believe only GIAC and Neuspeed makes one, GIAC being the best (i have it). I think its because of the fueling which is also remapped with the chip.

the neuspeed is 200 and teh GIAC should be 300 from teh good places. Any dealer off their site should sell it for 300
