Default 2.8 30v, no resonator? or keep resonator?

ok so debating if i should take out the resonator (just straight pipe from cat to muffler) or will it sound bad? anyone done this?

i'm on stock muffler by the way.

i'm looking for a slightly louder sound( a tad louder deeper sound), but still want the stock backpressure and dont' wanna atract riceboys to race and cops.....

it will increase sound also hp if you remove it, I prefer the torpedo replacement it reduces back pressure problems but with better sound quality but a straight pipe will do with increased noise

ok so i took out the resonator (there's only one resonator/mid muffler) and welded a pipe thru, so basically, straight pipe from cat to muffler.

thought there was a mid muffler and a resonator. but oh well. i'll try and put up a vid

- it's got a low end (1000-3500 rpm) louder deep sound

- around 3500 rpm, u get that supra/skyline like high pitched sound (that DOHC sound)

- after 3500, it gets almost as quiet as stock

- cruising, it's pretty quiet.

- a slight more vibration in the interior between 1000-3500 rpm if floored, not as much as an afteramrket muffler tho

- preformance increase? what increase.........lol, it's just a sound mod

- i'll note if the gas mileage changes, because the resonator is a stright pipe inside anyways(not like a muffler i mean), it shouldn't change.....

- overall, yea it's coo...... i like the fact that it's not loud enough to attract cops, but the louder sound i guess doesn't make teh car as luxuraious as it should be. know what i mean?

ONE MORE SOUND CLIP

http://www.t-mobilepictures.com/fast...=1140569316024

i put the phone under the muffler on the floor. it's a lil buzzy, but if hear it in person, it's deeper than it sounds.[&:]

my car back fires alot, was also doing that with stock resonator, it doens't pick up as fast as a v6 either. feels like a 4. donno y, new plugs (bosch plat +2 and new wires)
