Default 2.8 30v snub mount

wats going on, i see snub mounts only cost $50 dollars and enhance upshifting as well as downshifting, for those who have it, is it worth it? and is the instilation DIY or how much did it cost to get it done ?

it's DEFINITELY worth it. you can get one from greedspeed for 13 bucks that's pretty much the same thing...purems also has one for something like 25-30 bucks.

just did mine today ... i got a greedspeed ... when i took out my oem snub it looked fairly new .... i'm guessing it was replaced before i bought the car ... and b/c of that the difference was only minor ... but you can tell a diff indeed .... the oem is much weaker and more cushion ( bad ) comapred the the greedspeed .... it was my first time with taking off the bumper and basically anything with cars like this ... so it took me a good 3 hours ( 1.5 hours to get the bumper off [:@] )

the mount isn't really a mount. it's a bushing. once the bumper is pulled forward to the service position the rest is pretty easy. the easiest way to get the old one off is to cut it, but if you want to save it, it's possible to get it off in one piece. the new one will have to be warm from the microwave and it'll pop on with a little force. once it's on, you want to keep the housing (the piece connected to the bumper) loose, so that you can get the new snub seated correctly. the apr instructions are pretty good
