Default 2.8 Mods..

I know since you opened this, your probally thinking,"oh great another 2.8er looking for speed". Well, I know there isnt much to do for performance to these engines except getting in the big bucks (s/c). But there definetly are things that can be done for power and performance for the engine. My question is where? I've been looking online and cant find any links at all for 2.8 parts.

Where is a link for a 2.8 exhaust? Intake? etc. thanks

BTW, is there a test pipe made for the 2.8? Link for that as well. Thanks

It's an internal combustion engine - of course there are modifications which can be done to increase power and performance. Probably the easiest would be to stick a K&N intake on it, but that really doesn't do anything except make it louder. If you look around, you can find a couple places that sell beefed-up throttle body assemblies, I've heard those can have a small but noticeable effect. If it's a 30v (1998 & later) you can chip it; I think GIAC makes one.

Unfortunately, it's an Audi 2.8L V6, so pretty much anything elseyou do will have to be custom (read: cost-prohibitive). You can probably get a cat-back exhaust custom made at your local exhaust/muffler shop for $500-$750, but other than that you'll probably end up spending thousands of dollars for not much improvement.

Good luck.

My 2.8 stick has a catback magnaflow exhaust, sounds like a Ferrari, and for the most, it will pull when needed. looks even better with tint and rims.

sounds like a ferrari????? lol... i dont think so. I had a custom 2.5" exhaust put on my first 2.8l for $350 and that price includes the $200 magnaflow tips.

As far as performance, you can pick up a brand new SC for 3200 bucks now. its gettin cheap to supercharge these things.
