2.8 performance mods
Hey guys, im helping a buddy mod his 2.8 and looking for more suggestions. And since i have a 1.8 i dont have too much yet, but heres what im thinking.Oh yeah, and dont say s/c cuz that not in the picture yet. He wants 250 but i think thats gona be hard, but thats what hes looking for.
Full free flow exhaust + 12hp
aftermarket cat +5hp
Giac engine chip + 10hp
giac tip chip
performance throttle body + 10hp
Modified airbox with k&n + 4hp
The hp numbers are just estimate, but what else are all you 2.8s doing other then s/cs?

Thats not 5k right there, and another 1k installed. It would be like this:

You can have muffler shops make you piping all the time, all you have to do is provide them with a muffler. That what i did and mine came out to around that. And thats with a freaking tuner that charge 52bucks an hr.
no of course not mandural bent is a marketing tool. you see no measureable power gains from mandural bent pipe. and stainless steel just doesnt rust. if fact it getts hotter than reqular steel
the mandural bent doesn't flow better ? and I live in Canada remember we get a bus load of snow even though we are doing ok this year so far (knock on wood) so i need something that won't rust out in like 2 years
BTW mandural bent is when piping is bent with high pressure water or sand running through it so it has no creases in the curves
