Those are manifolds from 1.8t's. Neither are modified. The one on the Left is from an 01+AWM motor. The manifold on the right is from a 99 and earlier AEB.

i'm so glad i have an AEB
if your not creating ridiculous amounts of power there is no reason to even think about changing the intake manifold

Interesting project but like others have said the engineers did their homework too. I can't see any substantial gains from this. If you're doing it just for the hell of it then by all means.

Kinda knew i was goning to get a response like this. As it seems, the 2.8L V6 is such a great engine there isNO room for improvment anywhere...[sm=smiley31.gif]

Well mabywill still go ahead with the project while i have the tools to do so. I may look into a used intake, port and polish it and post results....I guess small stuff is all we can do until the SUPERCHARGER.
