Default #2 cylinder Misfiring

Ok so I started my car, while still warm, and it started stuttering-at idle and while accelerating was worse. Chk Engine light came on. Took it to autozone-free daig- says it #2 cylinder misfiring. What is weird, is if I start it cold, it is fine, but if I cut it off and then try to restart, it is crappy again. Could this be the coil pack? I checked the wires and plugs, everyting looks good. Any ideas?

if you got a meter put it on your coil and compare the Ohms
between them ... most prob its a bad coil

Take the coil pack off cyclinder 2 and put it on 1 or 3. If the misfire changes, replace the coil pack. Also check the spark plug. I had the same problem a bout three months ago and it turned out to be a cracked spark plug. Course the dealer tried to sell me a new coil pack. After I figured out it was only the plug I kept the new coil and made them give me my money back.

Possibly, depending on the engine.

run a search on misfire cyl 2 here or on audiworld. As I recall, there were a batch with bad connections for cyl 2 causing misfires. Someone on audiworld took it apart and found the problem.

yes I had the guy reset it. it came right back on....funny thing is that when it is cold, it operates fine, after it heats up is when it skips consistently
