2 mufflers???
i noticed that my exhaust goes like this ------cat-------muffler-------muffler
i believe the mid muffler is called a resinator (sp?). would i get a better sound if i removed this, what is it for, just an extra silencer? i want to just hack it off and put a straight pipe there. is this a good idea?

RE: 2 mufflers???
I was always under the impression that the resonator was a straight-thru design and that it didn't restrict too much. I thought about cutting mine off, but it's more hassle than it's worth, unless someone says it's robbing me of at least 10 ponies!

The less restriction behind your turbo the better. I'm not up to par yet on the whole Audi turbo/exhaust system but with my old car I only wanted non restrictive piping all the way back to a straight through muffler (of course I could also get away with no cat here).
