Hey guys, just thought i would share this with ya. I havent had a chance till tonite to race a stock wrx , and i was extremely impressed. I was behind him when it started and i passed him and ended up a full car in front of him. I had no way to judge how fast they were cuz i had only race heavilly modded one(one pulled a full car on me), but the stock ones are nothin like them, we rolled from 3rd and went to 100mph and let it off. Then i raced a heavily modded rx8 and beat him by 3/4 car, all in all, a good night, everyone went home safe, which is the most important thing.

Yeah Congrat's! What were the mods on the RX8?

 

Not sure, but it was fast, really fast. He actually pulled a lil on me when i wasnt payin attention and he went, and i was in low rpm, but i reeled him in.

the rx8, next to the mustang, is known to be like one of the fastest lower cost (and by lower cost im just exluding ferrari, lamborghini, and all those types of beasts) production cars on the market, no doubt this probally had an exaust, rims and stuff, but ever since mazda finally cracked the code on the rotary engine in the rx7, only quicker stuff is to come

 

^^^ no doubt. I give credit where credit is due, and this thing was fast, but he was still givin me the thumbs up.

 

The rotary is still horribly ineffecient gas wise... it makes big power out of little displacement... but they suck gas like a ****! The RX8 was a huge improvement over the RX7 for gas, but it is still awful. My neighbor works for mazda, and she was driving an RX8 for a while, and said she could sell me a corporate demo for dirt cheap -- but cautioned me against the gas prices.

My buddies 87 turbo II gets less than 300 km out of a giant tank (close to 70L I think)

 

I test drove an RX8 before I purchased the A4 but at 230 235 hp and it didn't start making the HP till I was at 10 million RPM's I said no way.
