Mods don't add to the car value. It sucks, but it's true. Instead make sure you have all the service done and use stuff like "got a new set of tires with only 500 miles" to up the value.
Mods are useless for price bargain unless you find someone interested in modding too and appreciates what you did. However, if you find such a person it's not guaranteed that he/she will be interested, because 90% of the fun in modding a car is the "it's my car and i like working on it" and it's no fun if the car is already heavily modded.
