ok i think i have a problem with something in my left front tire area.....

when i hit larger than usual bumps and even sometimes the small bumps
i can hear like a thud sounds from my left front tire area......
is it my shock bottoming out?
its only coming from the front left wheel well.
is that good enought info? let me know

and one quik question.. i have a 99 a41.8tq can i change out headlight assy with 99.5 to just get those? or would that cause problems

 

Could be a bad strut bearing. The shocks are supposed to flex a little when you go over bumps/turn/whatever... If the bearing is bad/broken it will make it so the shock/strut doesnt flex when it should and make a sound. Or it might be a lose tie rod end ball joint, among other things.. Yea you can switch to one peice headlights, youll just have to shave part of the fender on the inside.

 

will that be visible? the shaving part? and how much are we talking about shaving??

lets say it is the strut, that gonna cost me ???
like if u could, if u know, throw up a cost of those possible things for me?

no its not noticeable once the headlights are in. More of a trim than a shave.. if there is a difference..
If you are on original shocks it might be a good idea to upgrade if you have to take everything off to get to the bearing.. The bearings are cheap like maybe $15 though. Could be a lot of things though id have a pro look at it if you have a hard time pin pointing it.

 

cool ya i was planning on getting bilstein sport shocks and eibach sport springs? sound good? i hear alot of different things.

i might just do the shocks and springs and see if that fix's it. lol
