has anyone here been able to convert 2 stock smics into 1 fmic, my buddys father is part of a thunderbird sc club and he was tellin me how some of them get 2 of there stock smics and make them into 1 fmic. i have no idea how but hes sending his out to get them done. has anyone here done this for the 1.8T or do most think its a hack job??

 

why would you make the two one if you can just buy a single front mounted one thats just the same size as the two....plus i think its better to have them infront of the engine to pick up that really cold air and away from the engine heat...is this for the audi or thunderbird? doesn't sound too good to me

 

hes doin it to his bird and made it sound like he was saveing big bucks and that it was big performance gain/
I dont think it sounded to good either but wanted to know if anyone has done this to their audi.

 

Nope.. it would be easier to get a FMIC already made, maybe he is saving money because the FMIC's arent readily available for his car... i dunno
