HELLO IS THERE ANY BIG DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2000 AND 2001 AUDI A4 TURBO. PREFERABLY DIFERENCES BETWEEN THE EXTERIOR LOOK AND BODY TYPE. ALSO IS THERE GOOD MODIFICATIONS FOR THIS CAR? AND WOULD IT BE OK IDEA TO BUY A 2000 WITH LITTLE OVER 100,000 MILES OR WOULD I BE RUNNING INTO A LOT OF PROBLEMS??

 

yo **** the 1.8's go with the 2.8 u get more hp and it's not evena turbo, i myself went with the 01 just cuz according to consumer reports, basically all the years except the 01 rn't too reliable

 

YA I WOULD LIKE TO GET A BETTER MODEL BUT IM KINDA ON A BUDGET. I JUST SAW A 2001 1.8 TURBO THAT LOOKED PRETTY SWEET WITH THE RIMS ID LIKE TO BUY. THEN IVE GOT A 2000 1.8 TURBO THAT IS IN MY PRICE RANGE JUST HAS 103,000 MILES. WHAT YOU THINK? ARE THE BODY STYLES PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AND WOULD IK BE ALRIGHT BUYING SOMETHING WITH THAT MANY MILES? ok dumbass a chipped 1.8t will kill a 2.8 and the 1.8t has waaaaaaay more potential.

the body styles are the same........as for the high mileage problem,a4's are very reliable as long as they are taken care off by previous owner/s.....make sure the timing belt has been changed on the car, tie rods also tend to go bad, and if you can borrow the car and take it to someone who knows what they are doing and have them check the car out,maybe VAG-com it.......i bought my 99 1.8T with 106,000miles on it and since i have been doing regular maintance on it,havent had any serious problems, only a bad O2 sensor and a ignition control module(cheap fixes).......btw can you please not use CAPS LOCK,it hurts the eyes!

 

oh sorry, i plan to buy some black rims for it maybe 18s? the car is light grey but i think it might look pretty cool with the black rims maybe even if i limo tint all the windows. also what other mods should i do to for one give it a little more speed and also to make it look better

 

mine is grey also with limo tint......5% baby! I am also looking at buying 18's and was originally looking at black/chrome lip, but to tell you the truth i think gunmetal with chrome lip(stagerred set up) would look best on our color cars.......dats what im going to go with......maybe dats the way u can consider too.....as for the mods, i would start out by chipping it with GIAC and make sure you buy a better DV(diverter valve,preferably a 710N)+boost gauge.......then a turbo cat back exhaust and a FMIC(intercooler) down the road if you choose to do so.....there are lots of mods for our 1.8T's......

 

BTW,is it manual or tip?
