i was also reading that if the timing belt breaks while your driving that it can cause serious damage to the engine. That doesnt sound like fun.

How does the volvo s60 comapre to the audi a4. I like the interior of the auid a4 much better though.

 

Don't get a 1998 S60. You'll end up with the same problems as with the Audi, and volvo has the same reliability rating.

The maxima will smoke an A4, but it depends what you want the cars for. The A4 is fun, has a turbo, fun to mod, relatively easy to maintain - you don't need an engineering degree to figure out how the engine works.

As onepoint8tee said, if you aren't mechanically inclined the maintanance bills will kill you. If I were you, wait and buy a newer A4 when you get a real job thats what I did.
