Default 2002-2003 a4 deals?

hey guys,

anyone have the inside scoop on a few decent deals or how to get a good deal on a 2002-2003 A4? We decided its time (already) to tread in my 2000 for something with a little less bad luck (hopefully)

I've seen a few 02 and 03's with under 25k miles for around the $23-25k mark at various dealers and such so it looks like that is going to be roughly what we pay. I don't want to mess with private sales again and not having any warrenty.

Anyway, anything in particular we should look out for or ask in regards to these years?

if you want to buy at the dealer make sure it's the audi dealership cause they will give you the extended warranty upto 100k. in regards to what to look out for., i wouldn't be able to help. my B6 has been perfect for me so far. (knock on wood). hope that helps.

The S4 would be my 1st choice personally, but I don't really want to spend that much. At this point I'm limiting myself to 25k.

I'm heading to test drive a black on black 02 1.8T tomorrow at a local dealer, so hopefully, if all goes well I may have a new baby soon

Slow--- Thats what I'm hoping for as well lol, less maintenance costs and a warrenty would be marvelous at this point.

Not sure if you want only audi dealers but I got mine from carmax...best dealership experience ive ever had. good prices too i got my 03 1.8TQ leather/sport pkg for 22,900. they offer extended warranties also. They offered me 100k for $1200 more. I said no 50k is good enough. Cool thing about carmax they can order a car from any other carmax if they dont have the one you want. I'd look for an 03-05 because 02 is when they updated and generally cars from the first year will have more bugs in them.

I was thinking the same thing with the 02's but I've not heard of anything too horrible going wrong with them and it'll be covered under warrenty (hopefully) if something dies.

I'm in PA, buying a car out of state is a PITA isnt it as far as tax goes and such? THe closest carmax to me is in Baltimore. I have my eye on a couple of 02 and 03's that I found tonight in the local area, they all have really low miles on them which is awesome. So now to get my meetings tomorrow and friday out of the way and spend the nights test driving !!

No idea to be perfectly honest.

Its a 2000 A4 with just under 100k on it.

It's pretty much stock except for an RS4 bumper and side skirts.

Front right wheel bearing needs to be done and it also needs the 100k service (which is pretty much fluid changes) I'd also rec all the vac hoses be changed out since they are old (I just havent had time)

It currently has a couple of very minor dings and the paint is scratched from the dick who side swiped it on the weekend.

If I do decide to sell it rather than trade it in The exterior will be fixed (it's already booked to go to the body shop under insurance)

The interior is perfect as far as the seats and upholstery goes, the headup display in the console is flakey but other than that its perfect.

Feel free to shoot me an offer if your interested and I'll see if it is better to sell privately or trade her in..
